Chao Phraya River Business Trade Association, together with ICONSIAM, the Marine Department and many partners, including the Royal Thai Navy, Bangkok Environment Agency Khlong San District Office Pak Khlong San Police Station Tourist police, Thai Boat Association, riverside communities, schools in the Khlong San area and more than 53 private sector organizations organized the activity “Love the Chao Phraya Collect garbage on World Rivers Day 2023” or World Rivers Day 2023 by supporting boats. Equipment and tools for collecting garbage public relations and personnel from members of the association as volunteer teams to collect trash in the Chao Phraya River They have started collecting garbage from ICONSIAM pier. Take a boat trip along the Chao Phraya River up to the Buddhist Bridge. Return to the boat at Yodpiman Market. and return to ICONSIAM pier The trash collected included more than 3 tons of weeds, plastic, and foam.
The association is grateful to be a part of showing unity in protecting and maintaining the Chao Phraya River, a valuable treasure of the country, on World River Day. We would also like to commend all 53 partners, more than 350 participants, who have joined forces to create symbolic activities to remind and encourage people to love and care about the problem of garbage in the Chao Phraya River. And would like to campaign for everyone not to throw garbage into the river and help collect garbage one by one for the beautiful scenery along the Chao Phraya River for all of us.
